RCs Pizza I received an invitation to try the new Italian Beef sub at RCs. Ive never had a true Chicago Italian Beef Sub, so I cannot attest to its authenticity, but I can say this sandwich was very good! The initial pictures made it look a bit skimpy on the meat, but I assure you its not. Theres a full 8 ounces of protein in that sammie. While each individual element of the sub, the bread, meat, provolone, peppers, au jus and Giardiniera are tasty on their own, its each part together that create a balanced flavor profile. I would have preferred my Giardiniera chopped up, but that was really my only complaint. I thought the in-house fried chips were superior to the fries, so Id suggest getting those. I hope someone who has had an Italian Beef sandwich in Chicago tries RCs soon. I want to know how it compares! And on another note, the calamari, breaded in-house, is awesome and is served with a sweet Thai chili sauce. Id definitely order that again.
