RD1000 received this message from Congresswoman Doris Matsuis District Director Nathan Dietrich and wanted to share it with you: Dear Friends, Happy New Year! As 2015 begins, we wanted to update you on behalf of Congresswoman Doris Matsui about the progress that FEMA is making on remapping Natomas from a Zone AE to a Zone A99. Since the map change process started in the summer of 2014, a number of milestones have been met and FEMA’s efforts remains on schedule. The mandatory 90-day appeal period has closed without any comments. FEMA is expected to issue their Letter of Final Determination to the City of Sacramento, Sacramento County and Sutter County in March. New maps will not become effective until June 2015, at which time the city and counties will have jurisdiction over building requirements. Congresswoman Matsui will continue to stay engaged with FEMA on this issue and will be closely following their scheduling benchmarks and process. Please let me know if you have any questions about this timeline or the remapping process.
