RE- GOVERNOR ALMAKURA MEETS TIV COMMUNITY, DISPLACED PERSONS TO RETURN This visit was steered by Governor Almakura and major stakeholders in d Tiv nation to share experiences and information and to better understand and appreciate the circumstances in the Tiv communities currently affected by crises, mostly around the boarder communities. Im confident that the meeting focused on obtaining a deeper understanding of the local dynamics in the currently affected areas, as well as the desire to continue to pursue strategies and efforts to mitigate the disastrous effects of the crises in the affected areas and eventually find a lasting solution. I also believe that this meeting was yet another great learning and sharing experience for both d government and the Tiv communities involved in one form of crisis or the other. This Governors effort clearly showed the need for both d government and d Tiv communities to work together to realize lasting peace and protection of lives and property. We are also aware of the Governors continuous commitment to a comprehensive and meticulous approach towards resolving all crises that bedevilled the state in recent times. Mr. Governor, Sir, your civility and simplicity has clearly vindicated you as God-fearing leader without any atom of doubt. We shall NEVER be deceived by a group of selfish and sentimental politicians who places their personal interests above those of the general public; those on a mission to pour a centrifugal forces of ethnicism and other parochialistic sentimentalism. These are insatiable and self-seeking politicians that do not wish the populace and the state good fortune; rather using the policy of divide and rule for their selfish motives. May I also call on the respective leaders of various Tiv communities to sincerely reciprocate d Governors good intention by being sincere and transparent in handling all sorts of crises in their various areas of settlement. We shall ever remain grateful to Governor Almakura for always putting the people first in his redemptive quests. Thank you Taal!!!
