Up for sale is my beautiful SANDBERG PANTHER SPECIAL Decided to stay a 5 stringer - so sadly this must go to make way for new addition (also a Sandberg) Sandberg Panther Special in a Imbuia rarewood finish with matching headstock, rosewood neck with no inlays and chrome hardware. The full spec is shown below. Bass is in very good condition with 3 very slight cosmetic issues. First is a small scratch near the truss rod access on the headstock. Second is buckle rash near the neck bolts, neither of them are serious enough to show up in photos, but thought I should mention it. There is also an abrasion mark near the pick ups due to use - (see photo 7) - it may well polish out - certainly not a major issue in the playing of this superb instrument. Beautiful fast neck - similar to a Fender Jazz - Having owned several Fenders, couple of Gibsons and other brands the fact I am picking another Sandberg to replace this should tell you all you need to know about how they sound These guitars are the real deal - hand made in Germany - not China / Taiwan / Indonesia or wherever - check them out here - sandberg-guitars.de/ The bass looks and plays great. Lovely low action and a vast range of tonal options thanks to the 2 pickups and the 3 band 9 volt pre-amp, it is strung with Elixir 45-105 strings - new about a month ago.
