RE: Last nights post. I must apologize, I could sit here and say that everything is coming up roses, but most of you know me by now. (And if you didnt, after last nights post, you definitely know a lot more now). If anyone thinks that last nights post was easy to write, post, and share with all of you, think again. It took me 6 years of Redefining the Journey to write and share last nights post. There is definitely something I need to clear up though. In no way, shape, or form did the inclusion of the Email I received earlier in the week and shared in last nights post, have anything to do with my decision to remove and delete Redefining the Journey after this weekend. There is only one person on this planet that will ever be able to truly dictate anything I say, or anything I do. Only one person that has that kind of power to me. Only one person in the world that has the ability to influence what I might say, or what I might do, one way or the other. That is my son Dylan. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I will never be the person that just tells people what they want to hear. I will definitely not be someone who blows smoke up your ass. Most importantly, I will never be the person who judges you. Who are any of us to judge someone else? Are you perfect? Think really hard before you answer that. Right off the bat, people who walk around thinking theyre perfect, thats one of the biggest imperfections in the world. Someone who has never made a mistake? Someone who thinks they are better than everyone else? Perfection in people? Unless you were chained to the floor, in a room with four walls and no door . . Oh, wait a second, you wouldnt be able to read this right now. Well, that just about excludes everyone. Im sorry to inform you, your shit does stink, just like everyone elses. While youre pushing everyone aside, trying to climb over each and every one of us, remember one thing, it gets pretty lonely at the top. And when you fall down, and you will, we all do at one time or another, how many of those people you pushed aside and climbed over do you think will actually still give a shit? While youre waiting for one of them to bend down, put out their hand, and help pick you back up, you might want to make yourself comfortable. Its going to be a while before someone even thinks twice about helping you, but good luck with that. I will say it again and again, its not where you start, its not where you finish. Its all about the journey, the people you take it with, and how you get there. When I started this page six years ago, a good friend of mine said I should call it Redefining the Journey and I loved her idea, and you can see why.
