RE-POSTING DIWALI HELP APPEAL Dear Friends, hope you all had a beautiful Diwali with friends, family and your animals. Thank you for making it possible for us to make Diwali special for the staff who were on duty looking after the animals on Diwali day. We received a lot of help and donations towards our Diwali appeal. But we are still 60k short of our target to get the whole paint job done at the Delhi shelter plus the cages for both Delhi and Gurgaon. The Delhi paint job is done and the place looks bright and clean. Cages are being painted presently. Please help us by contributing for the same. SMS 9818201987 for donation pick ups. We are sorry we were unable to pick up a few donations due to lack of staff and the whole Diwali madness. FRIENDICOES DIWALI APPEAL FOR THE SHELTER Diwali is round the corner and we would like to spruce up things at the shelter a bit. As you know the shelter is always full of sick and injured animals so it is very important that we fumigate and de-infect the place on a regular basis. Every Diwali we try to put a fresh coat of paint on the shelter walls as well as repaint the cages. It not only makes the place look better but also helps kill germs and infections. Between the Delhi shelter and the Hospital Unit at the Gurgaon sanctuary the expense is coming to about 1.6lakhs. Something we cannot even imagine doing with our regular donations since we are still struggling to pay the bills. We would also like to provide the staff in Delhi and Gurgaon to a good meal on Diwali day because while most of us will be celebrating with friends and family a large part of the staff (most of whom are far away from their families) will be looking after the 1000 animals under our care ensuring that they are fed, looked after and kept safe from the crackers.
