RE-POSTING Konfession #138 From a Sister Regarding the matter, how Kashmiris behave in delhi: Well, I have been studying in delhi for three years now and I am a hejabi. I started with the abaya the day I landed in here alhamdulillah, while it is sweltering hot, I feel in a strange way that Allah makes the trees bend their branches to give me shade. well, not for me actually, but for a hejabi who covers up for her Creator. now, thats not just my story. a majority, A MAJORITY of kashmiri muslimahs based in delhi DO cover up modestly. when I see a colorful hejabi with that peculiar gait, i know she is a humm wattan. in fact, many of my teachers thought that we in kashmir have an official dresscode that requires us to cover up . Anyways, my kashmiri brothers n sisters based in delhi have created an intellectual forum that can hardly have a match. they are all doing an awesome job. they discuss OUR problems and try to find solutions and they sure are our bright future. I wish I could name some of them. I hv been in awe of them from day one.
