RE: injury and over training prevention. You need to make sure you are not pushing your body to the max every session. Especially if you are coming 5-6 times a week. Dont get caught up in the mindset that every session needs to be a ball breaker. Ive been training hard all of my life and learned first hand the importance of easier training sessions and periods of time when you need to take your foot of the gas for a week or so. You need to train all your different energy systems and also make sure you are getting a full body strength and conditioning program to reduce the risk of injury. I blast myself with high intensity lactate sessions only three times a week. If you are new to training this would be too much. Make sure you have a good whole body strength and conditioning program, you are working on your flexibility, getting a regular massage and using the foam roller on sore spots. Use our large variety of cardio equipment and come in and do recovery sessions. If you are stressing your body hard during most of your workouts, theres an increased risk of injury. You need to listen to your body. Rest and work around niggles, have easier days of training and take a rest day if feeling fatigued. Over my 15 years of working in the fitness industry Ive never worked at a gym with such a strong, experienced and knowledgeable team of personal trainers. If you need advice please ask and we can put you on the right path. Use the team you have, they are very good!
