READ IF YOUD LIKE! -- I dont like to venture off into politics all too often, but my thoughts here are in the best interest of the USA. Im not a fan at all of Glenn Becks religious worldview because it flies in the face of my Lord Jesus Christ, but I think this article on his website needs to be read. I get my news from a variety of sources and there is an overarching theme to what is happening in our world these days. Before I give you my thoughts Id like to add that I am proud to be an American and a Christian. Having confidence in knowing my soul is right with God is brings me a peace about all that going on in this world. I know as a Christian that in the end, after all this mess, I will stand victorious in Christ eternally because of the price Jesus paid on that cross and not because of anything that I have done. With that said, here are my thoughts and a suggestion for the leaders of our free country as it pertains to this side of eternity. Its evident that the US dollar (and our economy) is in danger. WWIII is potentially looming and most Americans either dont care or realize how much of an impact this Russian/Ukraine thing will have on Americas status as a world power. We are playing a game of chicken with Putin and its not going to end up well. Putin is laughing at the sanctions Obama has placed on Russia. We look weak and Putins plan is to partner with China to take down the US economically. Putins source of power is American debt and energy. Leaders of our government LISTEN UP...lets get our matters in order. Lean out our budget and stop spending money like it grows on trees. We are playing with Monopoly money as it is. Lets pay down our debts. That includes cutting back on non-essentials like unnecessary entitlement programs. Give businesses room to breath by reducing taxes, allowing them to keep more of their money to spend on research & development, and expansion. Lastly, lets stop letting the Middle East, and now Russia, dictate who we are as a nation. We can be strong again by becoming a nation of energy independence. Not only should we drill for the oil God has blessed us with, we should continue to seek out alternative energy sources. A healthy combination of lowering taxes and building energy independence will create hundreds of thousands of jobs that will generate billions in tax revenue, ultimately helping us aggressively pay off the debt we have as a nation. Frankly, its time for us to grow up or we will wake up one day and our freedom will be swept out from underneath us.
