READ THROUGH THE NEW TESTAMENT IN 260 DAYS Thu...March 20th...Day 56... Luke Chapter 13 A very sobering chapter...Jesus says in vs.3, “...unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Then again to bring emphasis, in vs.5 He says, “I tell you no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Moving ahead to vs.24, we find the following words from Jesus, “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and not be able to.” Matthew 7 gives us a similar passage with a similar message. This begs the question, why arent we hearing this from our church pulpits today? Why do our churches resemble a Hollywood production with special music and programs to fit every need...except repentance and obedience? There are a number of excellent books on this subject available at your Christan bookstore. I suggest “Spiritual Avalanche” by Steve Hill as a beginning. “For a time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Tim. 4:3-4
