Whether you are just beginning to read Scripture or have been studying the Bible daily, commentaries offer greater understanding with background information on authorship, history, setting, and theme of the Gospel. Verse by verse exposition of the New and Old Testament can be found in commentary written by some of the greatest Christian church leaders including John Calvin, Matthew Henry, Charles Spurgeon, and C.I. Scofield. Apologetics is the discipline of defending a position (often religious) through the systematic use of information. Hermeneutics is the theory of text interpretation, especially the interpretation of biblical texts, wisdom literature, and philosophical texts. These 3 are very important when studying and teach the Word of God. You dont ever wanna intentionally or unintentionally mislead someone, cause whatever you teach them theyll teach someone else and if it’s not correct your a false teacher, and God is not cool with them type at all. Even with bible school and everything I still dont know 10% of everything Im studying and learning as I go. Ive had a few people inbox me and ask me about a status and say, mite wanna reword it cause some one may misunderstand that. and I read it and they was correct.
