READING THE TIMES AND SEASONS THEN WHAT? August 23, 2013 at 2:11pm Daniel 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes..................................................27 (continue reading from the Bible) The above scripture is telling us about Daniel who after understood the times through the books, scripture or prophecies begun to pray . For Daniel it was not enough to understand the time and season but he prayed for the fulfillment of that word.His was a prayer of confession , humbling himself as well as praying for the fulfillment of that word. My conviction is that Zimbabwean church should continue to pray , Some of you agree with me that there are many prophecies about good things to come upon Zimbabwe. it is not enough to understand the times, knowing about what God said about Zimbabwe.When Daniel prayed God sent his angel Gabriel to tell him every detail concerning Jerusalem and what would follow and take place. Similarly Zimbabwean church should pray more for a complete God`s revelation about Zimbabwe`s future. I have seen some Christians referring to this and that media , from this media to another as a source of information rather than praying and hear what God is saying concerning Zimbabwe as result they failed to discern . Now that the elections are over the church should pray that God will raise nation builders, those with a passion to really build. Those who can rise up and build the walls of economy of Zimbabwe and restore its strength not those who can destroy and loot the same mortar and brick that can hep the walls to stand up again. We want the Nehemiahs who can stand as the nation builders: Read the book of (Nehemiah chapter 1,2,3,4). Nehemiah after fasted and prayed he rose up and build.It is not enough to understand the prophecy , to know the promise or to have a good plan without rising up to build according to that plan. The fact that God spoke so much about Zimbabwe `s prosperity does no mean it will automatically take place without prayer and working. Zimbabwe it is time to work. Although God can use politicians as an arm or vehicle to deliver his promises upon Zimbabwe , the church should pray so that God will lead and direct the pace and steps. Let us pray that the purposes, prophecies and promises upon Zimbabwe will take place according to God`s will and plan. God is the one who can prune , shape , sift and straighten up every crooked way so that Zimbabwe will rise up again.Let us pray that those who shall be appointed into key positions of ministries of Zimbabwe`s economy will have the spirit of Nehemiah. Jesus prayed all night before he chose his apostles yet among the twelve he also picked the thief and the betrayer Judas Iscariot. Luke 6:12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles: 14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; 15 Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot; 16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor.NKJV What would have happened if Jesus did n`t pray,the possibility was that he could have picked 12 Judases. Jesus the son of God got one Judas among twelve after a serious all night prayer , what more if we do not pray for our nation and all key positions of authority. You can work the mathematics for yourself. How many of us today who really are praying against corruption and good governance e.t.c.(1Tim 2vs1-2) If We can not continue to sing about promises, prosperity of Zimbabwe . Reading or understating the seasons , time and prophecy is not enough without action of work and prayer. Daniel understood with books, the scripture, the prophecy but he prayed for their fulfillment ,he also received a revelation of what God was going to do next (Read Daniel chapter 9). May God guide Zimbabwe. Nehemiah understood the situation of Jerusalem , he prayed and rose up and build (read Nehemiah chapters 1,2,3,4 -) May God raise the hard workers of Zimbabwe Jesus understood the foundation he wanted to lay for the church , therefore he prayed and choose apostles (Luke 6 vs 12-16) May God raise good ministers.
