#REALHIPHOP Update: My new album #REALHIPHOP has been quite successful with the college and internet radio DJs who are spinning their favorite cuts. According to the reports, every song on the album is getting spins in various markets globally and as well as here in the U.S. The amount of positive feedback by these DJs have been quite inspiring for me to push even harder. Due to this data, were moving on to the next step which is to conquer the explosive minefield that is the Hip Hop Blogosphere. Speaking of blogging…I will be throwing my own hat in the ring in the not so distant future shortly before I make my return to the turntables which I hope to collaborate alongside the talents of good folks like Dee Jay Iko, Vahé HotLips Koshayan, Cito Ortiz, Open Season, and a few others Im in talks of working with for a pair of monthly podcasts Im going to do, we just gotta make sure everything is proper and believe me...were getting close to that goal. Jason OneHart Orford aka j-RockAz THE oBSERVER is currently whipping up fresh ideas for the next music video, which Im very excited about and we began working on my new website which is looking really good so far, so Im very excited about the direction were taking it. When were launching it?....Thats a good question, but it wont be long. Im also working on a video series for IK Multimedia called #REALHIPHOP Mixing where I will demonstrate how I mixed the album using T-RackS CS Grand and a much improved version of Pete Marriotts Adventures in Vinyl Hunting will be in production as well. Im hoping to get permission from Christian Peetz to shoot some footage at this springs Big Dig. As well to interview a few of my favorite DJs and Producers who often attend what is in my opinion Seattle’s coolest record show. Last but not least, Im also in the process of co-planning out a 45 box set for #REALHIPHOP that I hope will make a very strong impression on music lovers and collectors alike as I will personally oversee it from the Vinyl Hunter/Crate Diggers perspective. Ive been fielding opinions and advice from trusted voices like John Book, Joey Joe and a Musicologist known as Hassen so Im confident we will make good decisions on the entire package. Theres more going on like a few long overdue recording projects, but I rather save that info for when the time is right. So there it is....
