REASONS WHY PDP SHOULD NOT PICK A CANDIDATE WITH DENTED PAST RECORDS 1 EKITI people are well educated therefore we know what we want . 2 The bad past of some of the Aspirants are not new to us they can deceive people at the top but they cant deceive the generality of EKITI people. 3 APC as a party has different kind of short cut to overturn election results even if PDP wins the election, the following method can be used turn things round their favour; ( I ). Court Process - they can ask court to declare the seat unfit if the candidate in question has a questionable past e.g if there are allegations of corruption,murder or other charges against such candidate. ( II ) Impeachment: We need somebody that can manage the House of Assembly for minimum of one year before the General Election in 2015. So it will be disastrous for PDP to present a candidate that can easily be sent packing by the majority members of APC in the House since PDP has just two members. 4 Media: APC as a party is very good in propaganda, so if a candidate with bad credibility is picked that will create room for their promulgation and APC will be more willing to expose such unfit candidate to the whole world. 5 Public Debate: any weak or corrupt candidate will surely be expose during the live coverage of the Governorship debate which usually comes up some days before the election.
