RECIPE OF THE WEEK - Healthy Breakfast Muffins :) This weeks recipe is from Primroses Kitchen and include their NEW yummy Almond Butters. You can buy these along with the other ingredients at Bare Health! The raw nut butters have been created for using in baking, adding to dressings or to be spread on toast. Almonds are the nut of choice as they are alkalising in your body and combined with hemp or chia seeds make the perfect high protein snack rich in minerals such as magnesium and calcium. The Raw Nut Butters can be used in a fabulous recipe for gluten-free and dairy-free breakfast muffins: Ingredients 50g Raw Nut Butters 40g raw agave/coconut blossom nectar 50g gluten free self-raising flour 1 egg Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cream the butter and agave together in a bowl until pale. Beat in the egg a little at a time. Next, fold in the flour using a large metal spoon and spoon mixture into paper cupcake cases. Bake in the oven for 8 – 12 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a skewer inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack. ENJOY :)
