RECORD BREAKING COACH STEPS DOWN, REPLACEMENT NAMED The Southern Michigan Timberwolves Board of Directors announced today that they have accepted the resignation of Head Coach Mike Piasecki. They also have selected his successor, Don Butynski. Piaseckis resignation is effective at the end of the 2014 season. The Timberwolves regular season has ended, but the team is expected to accept a bid to a January Bowl game in Florida. Piasecki was the teams Head Coach for four seasons, 2011-2014. In his four seasons at the helm, he won a franchise record 40 games, while losing only 16. He eclipsed Chuck Loris team record of 30 wins early this season. His teams played in two League Championship Games and led the T-Wolves to their first bowl game appearance, as they played in the Sunshine Bowl in January of this year. Coach Butynski will take over a team he is very familiar with, as he has been the teams Associate Head Coach each of the last two seasons. Butynski also played five seasons with the Timberwolves on the Offensive Line. Coach Bute comes in as the recommended hire by Coach Piasecki, who says the team will be in good hands.
