RECORDING Kevin Harris was just in town for two days of recording “Reasonable Faith” podcasts. For the first time we videorecorded them so that folks will be able to watch us as we interact on the questions we discussed. We did some really interesting shows. I also just finished another two days of audiorecording nine shows for radio broadcast in Houston, Texas. This will be a two-week pilot project sponsored by Houston Baptist University. Getting these down to exactly 22 minutes each was a real challenge! After the first pass, the recordings were typically 3 to 7 minutes too long. I then indicated to the engineer portions of the transcript in red font to delete. The resulting recordings were too short. So I highlighted certain sentences in green font to add back in. The results were either still too short or too long. So I then indicated in blue font which sentences to add or delete. The final result was within just 2 or 3 seconds of 22 minutes! They will be broadcast in October and November. If listener response is good, HBU may choose to sponsor a regular “Reasonable Faith” radio show
