Once they know that we are interested, it seems to work quite well. Kindly call and garner some intrest and we’ll take it from there. It works this way: 1. They will deliver a blue bag to your home, and all you have to do is fill it up with all your recycle material and put it outside your home. 2. They will collect on Wednesday every week. 3. You can then purchase the next lot of bags from them ; R20 for 20 bags. THIS IS THE ONLY COST TO YOU! Please note: · No organic material; fruit, vegetables, meat, bread etc. · They take glass, tins, paper plastic. (although Mondi still collects our paper on a Thursday - it’s up to you if you want to keep the paper for Mondi.) · If you can rinse out tins and milk cartons, they would appreciate it. · ALL plastics are acceptable, even polystyrene. · Broken glass, - please wrap in paper to prevent injury to those handling the stuff. · You can even put in globes and small batteries, although they do not actively work with these, and we suggest you continue to deposit these at Pick ‘n Pay Oakfields. If you do put in globes, please wrap as they tend to break and cause harm. · If you want to dump a computer or printer, place on the pavement next to the blue bag, and he will pick it up separately, as the heavy stuff tears the bags. · Car, bike batteries etc also O.K. –again, not in the bag. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS INIATIVE! IT REALLY CANNOT BE EASIER!!!!
