RED LISTED, RESCUE PLEASE READ,Dear St. Anthonys Canine Rescue: Forgive me for taking up your time, but I come to you today to make an earnest plea to see if you may be able to help an exceptionally sad poodle red listed and currently scheduled to be killed at East Valley Animal Shelter. Her name is Dolly and she is a beautiful and young, white and black poodle miniature mix pictured below. This poor angel has such a touching story that it bears telling. Dolly lived her entire life as a stray hiding behind a bunch of garbage cans. When found, she was disheveled, desperate, hungry, scared, untrusting and ran relentlessly, not allowing anyone to touch her. It was clear that Dolly had been living all her life alone on the streets, surviving on what tiny morsel of food she could find in trash cans or thrown on the ground by passersby. It was obvious that Dolly had been treated her entire life, as having no worth her and no one had ever cared enough to feed her one straight meal or give her a second thought. But somehow, by the grace of God, Dolly had managed to survive in this harsh world, on her own, alone, never asking for hand outs and never getting any. And despite never being the slightest trouble for anyone, one day, an unkind stranger, in an effort to trap Dolly, fooled her into believing that he was finally going to give her the one square meal that she had been yearning all her life. Starving and desperate, this poor angel walked right into the trap just to get something into her empty little stomach, and that was the last step Dolly ever took in freedom. The bars came down on her face and she was trapped instantly. Confused and scared, from there, Dolly was taken to and dumped at the shelter where she now sits, awaiting death. In the shelter, this sad poodle is so terrified in her small cage, not entirely understanding what is going on, but understanding enough to know she is in dire danger. It would break anyones heart just looking at her scared face against those bars. Dollys had such a hard life. Shes weathered through thick and thin and has truly earned a chance to live a happy life or at the very least, the chance to continue living the same life shes learned to know. But after all the hardship that shes endured through these years, all the starvation, all the neglect, all the fear, all the loneliness, all the brutality of her environment, Dolly doesnt deserve death as the end result to her suffering. Its just too tragically unfair. That is why I come to you today to ask if there any way you can rescue this poodle from a certain death at this shelter? Dollys such a worthy soul, so wise beyond her years. You can see it in her eyes. She is so precious and deserves a chance. It is just too heartbreaking for her life to end this way. Is there any way you may be able to rescue Dolly from being killed? I will gladly pay for adoption fees if you could help. Anything you can do would be a blessing. I pray that you may be able to save Dolly............... Chris
