REESES is only a bit over a year old, and like most teenage boycats, he was ambushing the child in the home, probably a combination of rough play and dominance, as cats are very smart, and a young cat like REESES will usually treat children like other kittens/young cats, and attempt to play with them or dominante them as they would a sibling if not taught that this isnt appropriate behavior! This is how REESES wound up on Death Row-his natural behavior perceived as aggression which, of course, it isnt. I would wonder if the child played with REESES? If he placed with da bird or other toys that would allow both young ones to interact in a healthy and pleasant way! That REESES has wound up at ACC has nothing to do with his behavior and everything to do with ignorance on the part of his former person-why dont people read about cat play and behavior before they get a cat/kitten? In any case, REESES is in danger tonight-he sits on death row, a frightened young fellow, confused as to how he could be playing one moment and packed away to a strange and scary place the next. REESES deserves better-he wasnt aggressive during his intake, he was a little tense, but allowed handling and held the assessors hand and rubbed his head against it. REESES is a scared boy, begging for a chance to get out of this place where he knows hes in danger. REESES needs you tonight. REESES could be any of our our young cats who play and romp and sometimes get a little too rough. A firm no, lots of play with appropriate toys, and perhaps another cat buddy near his own age to play with would help REESES to be allowed to be a cat without becoming frustrated for lack of play and activity. He needs a good foster, or a good person who isnt intimidated or worried about an overgrown kitten who simply needs someone who will appreciate a real Cat. But REESES only has til twelve noon tomorrow-Sunday-to find that person-that hero, because after twelve the ACC plan on murdering this poor boy. Please save REESES tonight!!!! Dont let him be killed because someone didnt know anything about cats and turned him in to a place where hed be killed! Save REESES tonight-he doesnt have another night to spare!!!!!
