REF NO: 03341 Directorate: Department of Human Nutrition – Food Service SALARY : R96 363 per annum (plus benefits) CENTRE : Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital CLOSING DATE : 14 March 2014 REQUIREMENTS : Basic Elementary / Grade 12, 3-5 years’ experience of working in hospital food service units. Awareness of Batho Pele Principles. Should be willing to work shifts and public holidays. Be able to work in a team leadership. Appropriate knowledge of operations in Hospital food, Service Unit, Food knowledge (as per Core), Knowledge of basic diets and preparation of food. DUTIES : Supervision of food service tasks service tasks performed by Food Service Aids in areas in the main kitchen and ward kitchen be cost aware and practice stock control, daily control of stock cards and issuing of supplies. Supervision over food provisioning and food preparation in the fresh preparation area, and withdrawing of frozen meals in the main kitchen, as well as the reconstituted meals and beverages to patients in wards. Control production processes and preparation of diets in the main kitchen. Be responsible for issuing of supplies to staff, monitoring of stock allocated to each section.
