.REFLECTION JUNE 7: THE IMITATION OF CHRIST By Thomas Kempis (Adapted into everyday Language by Fr. Stephen)Bk1:Sec.5: About reading the Bible. 2: As a society we change with every passing fad, but God’s truth stands forever. Beside the people he sends daily into our lives He has many other ways of speaking to us. Often our reading of the Holy Bible is halfhearted or we grab a hold of a few poi...nts and run around creating arguments or shoving them down the throats of others, when we should be trying to live by the teachings of Christ and teaching others by our actins not our words. You will get the most out of the Bible if you read it with a simple, humble faith not being concerned on showing others how much you know. It is ok to have questions but most of all we have to listen to what the Holy Bible has to tell us, and we shouldn’t get hung up on parts we cannot understand—there is a meaning behind every word God placed in the Bible and God will reveal it to us when we are ready.
