REFLECTION January 2003, Anaheim, CA - I was walking through the Anaheim Convention Center attending NAMM. I recognized him as he walked alone through the crowd in one of the main halls. He made his way to a bench to rest. We made eye contact and I went and sat with him. How you doin young man? he asked. Doing well. Blessed, I responded. We started a brief conversation. I brought up a 7 year old boy who went to his first concert at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. I told him my Uncle Dan got saved at that concert. I told him of a mutual friend in the person of Fletch Wiley, his former trumpet player and flautist. Stay with the Lord, young man. Stay with Him. Hell never leave you, he shared. Yes Sir. I shall indeed, I replied. We parted company. Regardless of how legendary and timeless his music, I shall always treasure this stolen moment with Pastor Andrae Crouch. youtu.be/2QjbglDdPO8
