REFLECTION.......Nigerians should go REVIEW the constitution vis a vis electoral dictates to see. HE IS QUALIFIED. The case is closed....Hopefully , most Nigerians would read this excerpt from the long obsolete / military imposed 1999 constitution thats over due for complete over-haul and change. If we go by this, then its been a complete waste of time as Part IV ; 318 (1) -C (c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent and - Has closed the issue........... NOTE.. c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent and - (i) service in the public or private sector in the Federation in any capacity acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for a minimum of ten years, and He is qualified and no court of competent jurisdiction would interpret differently....... Rather than engage issues; they go chasing ghosts..........QED.....T. Nammor Chapter VI The Executive Part I Federal Executive A - The President of the Federation 130. (1) There shall be for the Federation a President. (2) The President shall be the Head of State, the Chief Executive of the Federation and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federation. 131. A person shall be qualified for election to the office of the President if - (a) he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth; (b) he has attained the age of forty years; (c) he is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and (d) he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent. Chapter VIII Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and General Supplementary Provisions Part IV Interpretation, Citation and commencement 318. (1) In this constitution, unless it is otherwise expressly provided or the context otherwise requires- School Certificate or its equivalent means (a) a Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, or Grade II Teacher’s Certificate, the City and Guilds Certificate; or (b) education up to Secondary School Certificate level; or (c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent and - (i) service in the public or private sector in the Federation in any capacity acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for a minimum of ten years, and (ii) attendance at courses and training in such institutions as may be acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for periods totalling up to a minimum of one year, and (iii) the ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language to the satisfaction of the Independent National Electoral Commission, and (d) any other qualification acceptable by the Independent National Electoral Commission. NB; INEC is just being mischievous and pushing her responsibility to the courts......PERIOD
