As we celebrate his exit As we dine and as we wine The event is not lost on us A great man has left from our midst We just have to reflect on life. It is not necessary to be born But once a human is born Death becomes a necessity Whether in old age or in youth In whatever form death comes Death is the debt we all owe There is no negotiating when it comes. If life must have an end as we see If we have just but a time to be here If no human has ever lived for ever If this end is so imminent for each of us Then we have questions to ask: Why do we struggle so much?
