REFLECTION: On January 16, 1920 a special kind of legacy began. A legacy of scholarly women exploring a road less traveled. Women who dared to be different, dared to be diverse, dared to Blaze New Paths Where Highways Never Ran...as I reflect on my life and all of my choices I am so very proud of my choice to be a Zeta gal, a Finer Women...but not just that quality attracted me, for I know some pretty daggone beautiful women of the other divine that I consider #finer ...you see it was the legacy that Zeta carried for being the home base, the clan, for that woman who required room to grow, transform and elevate herself, her family, her community...A a woman like myself...I was going SOMEwhere at the University of Pittsburgh and while I wasnt exactly clear where that was, I knew I needed a sisterhood that could handle this fine piece of raw energy, this caterpillar that was a live, walking, working chrysalis ...the humility, self-assurance, the self - compassion, self-love and inner strength required to Stand for the right and not just the might...To dare to be different, to stand alone in a sea of many, to KNOW Your power, Your Neccessity, Your place in this world is the very priceless thing I have learned from my Trailblazing Founding Pearls, those who brought me through Zetaland and the many Sorors who prayed for me, believed in me, guided me and continue to support me....I am Expansive because of you, I am able to be a Sister to the World because of YOU...Happy Founders Day Zeta Phi Beta Sorority....my sweet, sweet Founders Thank YOU for the legacy you began...May we do better, be bigger, be stronger and more Expansive for our Sisters throughout the world....We, my dare Zetas are NECESSARY! #zphib95 ##1920 #finer #trailblazers #zphib #sweetzeta #5pearls
