REFORMA, an affiliate of the American Library Association, provides an official connection between library staff members across the state who work to provide Spanish-language materials to patrons. Representatives from libraries and board members will get together four times a year to network, and share effective methods and future goals to increase Latino and Spanish-language materials; recruit more bilingual and multi-cultural staff members; and host more services and programs that meet needs of different cultures. Martín Blasco, a Washington County Cooperative Library Services outreach librarian for the Latino and youth services program, will chair the Oregon chapter. Elizabeth Lopez, a librarian with the Hillsboro Public Library, will serve as secretary.
