REFUND QUESTION: Hi, I was given a quilt cover set from Target for Christmas. I dont like or need it. Its clearly marked target (its a target branded product) and has the price on it. Can I return it and get a refund, even though I dont have the receipt? thanks REPLY: Without proof of purchase, the customer can only get store credit to the current value of the item. Why? The item may have been bought at the Boxing Day sales and the reduced stickers removed. The item may have been stolen. Giving the customer a full price refund is too risky to the bottom line. Thats why proof of purchase is required & without it, they restrict the transaction to the current value (which is usually but not always, the lowest value thus far). By offering a gift voucher, they keep the money in the store. IS THIS REASONABLE?
