REGARDING CURRENT CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS UNDER-WAY Our Party President, Honourable Edgar Lungu has re-affirmed continued infrastructure country-wide with a challenge to all contractors to work with local construction companies with a minimum of 20% besides giving priority to employing the indigenous top-down. Honourable Lungu and the PF government continue to woo both local and foreign tourists as a way of boosting tourism development. The PF government will sustain accelerated growth in tourism by modernising parks, hotels, transport system to all attraction sites and working with regional grouping initiatives to easy the visa acquisition process for foreign tourists. A programme is underway to encourage investment in air transport by the Zambian Government and the private sector too; which with increased competition and falling oil prices will trigger reduced air fares thereby making it attractive for even lower income local tourists to use air transport.
