REGARDING EXPIRING HOURS... IT IS OFFICIAL... As of March 31, 2014 students will have five (5) years from their original date of enrollment in a cosmetology or branch of cosmetology program(s) in which to compete all clock hours, take and pass all examinations, and obtain a license. After the five (5) year time period has elapsed, all previous clock hours accumulated by the student will be considered expired/voided and can no longer be used to sit for an examination or to obtain licensure. Any student who has received an official breakdown of expired hour’s letter from the Board prior to March 31, 2014 has until the date stated in the letter to complete all clock hours and pass all required examinations. Students, who choose to transfer schools during this process, will be held to the deadline stated in the original letter.
