REGIONAL COORDINATOR VACANCY: Regional Coordinator (EC/KZN/FS) SANBI-Jobs Fund Project (Groen Sebenza) Position is based in Pretoria National Botanical Garden Groen Sebenza, a South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) led Jobs Fund Project for the Biodiversity sector, is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to co-ordinate and manage the activities of the programme in the northern region which include KZN, Eastern Cape, and Free State. The position requires a person who is able to lead, co-ordinate and manage the successful implementation of the regional programme in terms of programme content by monitoring, evaluating and reporting of the project. The candidate must be a self-starter, someone who can work independently and in a team, with excellent people and project management skills aligned to the national programme goals. This appointment requires the candidate to be in possession of at least a B degree in Environmental/Natural Science/Social Science with a specific focus in Training and Development at NQF Level 5 and upwards in the biodiversity sector. The successful candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience related to project management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, skills development and training, developing and managing partnerships The successful candidate should have good leadership skills, a good command of verbal and written English (competency in other official languages is an advantage), as well as a valid Code B driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively. Key performance areas include: • Lead the conceptualisation and implementation of the project implementation plan within region. • Conceptualise , develop and implement the national training plan • Manage and liaise with partners and stakeholders within the region. • Monitor and evaluate of the programme in the region. • Regularly update and report on project plan. • Organise and facilitate national and regional training interventions and regional forums.
