REHOMING APPEAL FOR THE BEAUTIFUL TESS Tess is a 6yr d Female - TopicsExpress

REHOMING APPEAL FOR THE BEAUTIFUL TESS Tess is a 6yr d Female Welsh Springer Spaniel, who is microchipped & has up-to-date vaccinations (vet record available) she is believed to be spayed. Tesss current owner gives an insight into her personality & mannerisms together with the current situation; Tess is intelligent & housetrained. She will make a low growl or yip to attract your attention as well as giving a paw’ if she wants something such as going outside. Affectionate, but wont make a large display of licking your hand. Shes more inclined to excitedly run around you and look up and give you the paw. Seems to focus her attention on one family member to a greater extent than others. Likes to be near others whenever possible, and will follow you to lie nearby or will sit outside a door where she can see in. Quite alert to strangers near the property and will bark when something is put through the letterbox or comes to the door. Loves walks, but also thinks shes a house cat and likes to lie about in company. She will try to sleep at your feet on the bed if she gets into that part of the house at bedtime again for the company, but sleeps happily on the kitchen floor. I havent had her in a kennel outside overnight, only during the day. She gets on well with other animals outside of her home. Shes not that tolerant of other animals being brought into the home. She seems to want to be in charge of her own space. No problem outside the home. Is well behaved at the vets or another home with a dog. Shed probably best be rehomed with a single person, couple, or family with older children and no other pets. Ive no idea what shes be like with infants in the house, but have observed nothing to be worried about in other casual contact with children. Shes a food addict and if she can reach it when youre not looking its likely to disappear. if you leave a waste bag with food scraps within reach, shell have her nose in it when you step out of the room. Currently a little overweight. Shes a working breed and I havent been walking her as often as is necessary of late. Shes bigger than the average type of spaniel, about the size of a Labrador. I love this dog. She is so little trouble and I really dont wish to part with her, but she really needs a home where she will get more attention and excercise and wont spend large parts of her time on her own. So now for our part.....This rehome is through no fault of her own, her owner is putting Tesss needs first and this was not a decision she made easily so we will not tolerate any negative comments. When u dont know the full facts, u have no right to judge, so dont. You will be banned from this page without warning if needs be. If u have room in your heart & home for Tess please contact Pets Lost and Found Northern Ireland & we will put u in touch with her current owner. At least one meet & greet is recommended prior to the actual rehome. Please be aware that this rehome is subject to a homecheck & follow ups. She is not being rehomed via Pets Lost and Found Northern Ireland, we are merely helping out with responsible rehoming x
