RELIGION OR POLITICS From time immemorial, Men of God prophets, - TopicsExpress

RELIGION OR POLITICS From time immemorial, Men of God prophets, Priests and Pastors have in one way or the other tried to meddle with politics. Some may have been led by the spirit, some may have been bought over by some rich opposition leaders just to use their influence to effect Revolution, where others looked for cheap popularity by going on air or using any medium available to them to cast aspersions on their Leaders, Kings and Presidents. In reacting to what the Veteran Catholic Priest Rev. Fr EJIKE MBAKA said regarding the 2015 General Election, saying that Nigerians should vote out President GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN by voting for BUHARI His reasons being that if Christians want the bombing of Churches to stop, they should do so because GEJ has failed to stop the bombings With an unmitigated respect for you Rev Fr MBAKA, permit me to ask you these few questions; (1) Shall we the Catholic faithfuls disregard you as a priest since you have failed to stop every Catholic member o the Adoration Ministry from sinning against God? (2) Has the Catholic Church become a platform to campaign for who to vote and who not to vote for? (3) Are you the campaign manager of APC or just a sympathizer whose palms has been greased with little Changes for the pocket? (4) Is this a strategy to bring the attention of the President to come over? MY ADVICE FOR MBAKA I dont expect you to answer in affirmation to the above questions because your position is highly exalted above those things. It would also be a big blow to me as a person who treasure and boast of you anywhere I find myself. You have right to say anything, but I believe Priesthood has ethics and etiquettes guiding it which curtails the interplay of both politics and Priesthood. Id rather appreciate it better if you stay neutral advising people to make better choice instead of telling them who to vote and who not to vote for. I love you Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka. I still believe that President Goodluck Jonathan remains the best president that Nigeria ever had and as it stands, the most experienced Democrat. GOD BLESS NIGERIA
