RELIGIOUS SPIRITS, SELF-DECEPTION, RELIGIOUS ERROR-LETS TALK ABOUT IT Psalm 145:10-13 King James Version (KJV) 10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. There are leaders that have a deep rooted problem in them. For many years as a leader can be self-deceived to believe that God sent Jesus to establish a religion, instead of the Kingdom, and this includes the man-made religion of Christianity. When our concepts are wrong then our conclusions are wrong and we only find if we are teachable enough that there is nothing as devastating as a misconception. God sent Jesus in part to restore you and I back to a right relationship to God the Father, through the gift of righteousness that came to us through the abundance of grace and by way of the blood of Jesus that washed us from our sins and made us to be a nation of kings (kingly) priests. God promised that He would be a Father to the fatherless. Gods purpose in sending Jesus was not only to deliver us from our sins but also to bring us into the Kingdom of Gods dear Son while at the same time restoring us back to a right relationship with Himself. Colossians 1:13 King James Version (KJV) 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 2 Corinthians 5:21King James Version (KJV) 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Everything Jesus preached was about the Kingdom of God. He didnt preach about restoration of fathers to sons, making todays apostles to be spiritual fathers as was Pau and an apostlel, and certainly not without them preaching the same Kingdom message Jesus and the other apostles preached. As a matter of fact Jesus said this in reference to restoration of children to parents and we can infer, to spiritual parents as well.... Luke 12:53 King James Version (KJV) The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Now that is what Jesus said. What weve been doing is making certain inferences concerning the fatherhood principle and in effect preaching the commandments of men as though they are the commandments of God and extrapolating from the Word what is really not there, or at least not there in the way weve been promoting the concept of spiritual fathers to sons and sons to spiritual fathers. The concept of spiritual fathering has most definitely appealed to many leaders and the peoples ego need to be right in their own eyes and the eyes of others, but they are not right in Gods eyes. Jesus words will stand forever. Jesus said that heaven and earth will pass away but His word will stand forever. Look at what the prophet Micah says; ..... Micah 7:6 King James Version (KJV) For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a mans enemies are the men of his own house. And look at what Jesus says here: Matthew 10:35 King James Version (KJV) For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And in Lukes account Jesus says this: Luke 12:53 King James Version (KJV) The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. So while many self professed apostles have gravitated to Pauls assertions about being Timothy and Titus spiritual father and no doubt a spiritual father to many others who he called his children in the Lord, Paul nor Peter, nor any of the other disciples taught spiritual fathering and certainly not Jesus. Look at what Jesus says here about leadership: Matthew 20:25-28 King James Version (KJV) 25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes (chief rulers)of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. Emphasis added 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Paul calls the followers of Jesus the children of God. Romans 9:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. He also refers to the followers of the Devil as children of disobedience. Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Today there are religious men and women under the revelation of restoration of apostles and prophets that have gone so far beyond what Gods authentic apostles and prophets walked in and its because they are laboring under strong delusion placing the emphasis where God has not placed them. Some of these leader believe that they are the apostles over a city, over a region or territory and that God has set them as such but many of them and I mean many of them have no foundational understanding of Jesus preached doctrine of the Kingdom of God, yet all of Jesus apostles to include the sons of perdition knew and preached the Kingdom of God while they had yet not understood the very Kingdom message they were preaching. But as they continued in the assignment you watch Peter come out of prejudice and he preaches via his epistles, the Kingdom of God to the Jew and Gentile in calling them all a royal priesthood and Holy nation. Phillip doing the work of an evangelist and went down to Samaria and preached the gospel of the Kingdom to the Samarians, and the saints that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the good news that Jesus was alive and that He was the King of the Kingdom. Paul, the one from whom many infer was espousing restoration of fathers to sons also preached the Kingdom to the Church at Rome, at Corinth, at Philippi, to the Church at Colosse, and to the Church at Ephesus. Paul even used the term ambassador because he recognized that he was an ambassador of a King and the kingdom. As a matter worth considering is that Paul and Silas were highly sought after by the religious leaders because they preached that which was contrary to Ceaser in that they preached there was another King, Jesus. Acts 17:1-7King James Version (KJV) 17 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. 4 And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few. 5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; 7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus. Paul was so committed to the Kingdom message that towards the close of His ministry, in the same way Jesus preached the Kingdom for another forty days prior to His ascension and the release of the five-fold gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelists, pastor and teacher to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, Paul too abode under house arrest for 2 whole years and received all coming into him, he preached the Kingdom to them and taught them about Jesus Christ. Acts 28:30-31King James Version (KJV) 30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. So when we talk about spiritual authority, and spiritual fathering who is qualified to be a spiritual father who does not know Jesus preached doctrine of the Kingdom of God, preaching the doctrine of the Kingdom even as the apostles of Jesus did. James preached the Kingdom of God as did also John while in exile on the isle of Patmos. James said this.... James 2:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: The term royal was and is a Kingdom term and who was better qualified to use it than the half brother of Jesus who is also recorded as being the first Bishop of the Church? And John while in exile said this.... Revelation 1:4-6 King James Version (KJV) 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. My friends, the apostles preached the Kingdom of God and if anyone was qualified to be spiritual fathers it was these men who also knew that Jesus came not to establish a religion but to establish the Kingdom in the hearts of men and women who would voluntarily submit themselves to Gods royal rule, authority, dominion and act of ruling over and through them as they lived the righteousness the Father sent Jesus to give them. If you are born again you have been restored back to the image and likeness of our heavenly Father, Jesus having accomplished the purpose for which God sent Him. Authentic apostles preach the authentic message of the Kingdom of God and not the philosophies and commandments of men as though they are the commandments of God. Those who are truly qualified to be spiritual dads are those who God has also qualified to preach the same Kingdom message Jesus preached for the Kingdom is the message of the apostles and not the message of restoration of fathers to sons. Genuine fathers know genuine sons and genuine sons know genuine fathers. Religious spirits, self-deception and religious error dominate the hearts and minds of men who seek power over others and such deception has poisoned the immature, uninformed and disillusioned.
