REMINDER: DECENTRALISATION In the first week of March ,2015,Ghanaian registered voters will go to vote for DECENTRALISATION: 1.Each voter will vote for six people: One Assembly Member, and five Unit Committee Members. All these six people will be responsible for the welfare of all the citizens in an electoral area. 2. The six will join other groups of six each to form: (a) a Town council Or (b) an Urban council Or (c ) Area council Each of these councils are to implement and supervise the District Assembly, or Municipal Assembly, or Metropolitan Assemblys projects ,approved by the Assemblies. 3.After these elections no citizen will be calling on the central government to provide his or her needs.Your needs will be sent to your Assembly, and your Assembly will send them to your Area council, or Urban council or Town council, depending on the status of your larger community.The Unit Committees will pick their approved projects from there.
