REMINDER! If you do not want your postings to be available for the public to see, then YOU will have to be the one to make that change, not the people on your contact list. If you ask your friends to "uncheck" (life events, comments & likes, photos, etc), then that means THEY will no longer see any of these things, which I am sure is not what you want because then you mind as well just close your account here in facebook because no one will respond to any of your postings. If YOU do not want your postings to be available to the PUBLIC, then do the following: Click top right symbol that looks like a sun (or gear if you are a man), click "privacy setting", click edit next to "who can see my stuff", click down error next to "public", select "friends". This way ONLY the people on your contact list will be the ones to see your posting. On that page you can also make other changes.
