Now more importantly...at a recent youth business and financing summit that Warren Buffet was lecturing he was asked, What is the most crucial piece of advice you would give a young investor like myself just graduating from school and looking to make sound investments?, Buffet answered (paraphrased), Find an industry youre interested in and find the top 10 or so companies in that industry...contact those companies and get interviews with the highest ranking officials you can (youd be surprised how many people will lend you their time) and learn all you can about that said industry from the people running it...lastly ask them who they consider their top 3 competitors and worthwhile competition is in their respective market...that should give you a great composite of who to invest in as a few names will certainly come up many times. If you ask around Im sure youve heard were one of the best gyms around and thats because were not only knowledgeable but still DO, and do quite well, ourselves.
