The Renard GT’s carbon-fiber monocoque weighs only 9 kilograms (19,8 lbs), and is reinforced with Kevlar, to make it resistant to impact and vibration. Thanks to an increased cross-section, the composite body is stiffer than a regular pipe frame.The unibody integrates the motorcycle’s frame, petrol tank and air box into a single load-bearing structure. In the dynamic way the GT use a 2 way adjustable Öhlins S36DR1L in the front, and a 3 way adjustable Öhlins TTX 36 in the rear, and to keep the weight as low as possible a pair of carbon-fiber wheels are used, to stop this 170kg”Dry weight” (374 lbs) , a 6 piston monoblock calipers get the job done, also the aluminum components are designed and modeled in 3D, then milled from a solid block by CNC machines.
