RENEW YOUR MIND: Romans 12:2 (NKJV) And do not be conformed to - TopicsExpress

RENEW YOUR MIND: Romans 12:2 (NKJV) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. I love the way the New Living Translation brings out this verse. “Dont copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know Gods will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” You see the way that we receive the power to overcome the things that come against our mind and body is to renew our minds. You might say what does it mean to renew our minds? It means to take time to listen to the Word and think the way that God thinks. If you havent noticed, this world thinks a little differently than a child of God thinks. This world is so negative and it constantly speaks words of death. Life and death are in the power of the tongue and if we speak like the world speaks, we will receive the same thing that the world has, and that is death. But there is one thing I know - if you’re reading these devotionals then you dont want to live like the world and you want to renew your mind with the Word of God. The only way, and I do mean the only way to renew your mind, or change the way you think, and start thinking the way God thinks, is to take time each day and read His thoughts which are written in the Bible. Stop watching so much bad news and start reading some Good News, the Bible, and you will see a major change in your life. You will become more positive and have a brighter outlook on life. Take time each day to read the New Testament and when you find a promise in it, say, thats mine. Then watch it become a reality in your life. Confession: Today, I going to read the Good News, the Bible, and when I see a promise in the Word of God, I will confess it as my own and I will see my mind renewed to God’s way of thinking. My mind doesnt have to be filled with junk. Today, I fill it with gold from the Word. Todays Bible Reading Exodus 2:11 - 3:22 Matthew 17:10-27 Psalms 22:1-18 Proverbs 5:7-14
