RENEWING MY MIND (Protecting true treasures) Everything in the Christian faith appreciates in value by love 1Tim 1:5-6. Divine Love is the greatest virtue of the kingdom because Divine Love is the communication or release of the fullness of God 1Cor 13:13, 1John 4:16. What we love is what we protect. What we love the most is what we are willing to lay our lives for or pay the greatest price for, John 15:13. Love is not just an emotion but it is the source of every emotion. That means Our emotional centre is our centre for defence because what we love is what we protect. Our walk in love therefore detemine our total well being. God designed our emotions to signal threats to our well being so we can act accordingly.Emotions such as Fear, jealousy, guilt, joy, bitterness etc are therefore signalling to us the state of the things our love is directed to.Consequently, if we love the wrong things, we will have the wrong emotions and if we love the right things we will have the right emotions. This also means, if we love the wrong things, we will have emotions that will defend and promote the wrong things but if we love the right things we will have emotions that will defend and promote the right things. Our emotional lives can therefore grant us great insights into the objects of our love. This insight is important in reviewing and correcting the directions of our love life. The best object of our love is God Mark 12:30. Since Gods word is Himself loving Gods word is loving God. John 14:15 John 1:1.This means Every emotion we have must be because of our love for God and His word. Being self aware of our emotional life can therefore help us in regulating our love towards God and Gods word. Our love for God and His word are the foundations of all the laws of prosperity Matt 22:40. It is therefore the foundation of the greatest life, the greatest accomplishments or greatest successes.
