REPAT HOUSE -winding down it has two independent efficiency apartments 515 sqft. each with stove top cooker, refrigerator, kitchenette, with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Please help me to give them a name. This traditional round house of 1133sqft. cost about $24,000. From start to finish including, inside furnishings. It could have easily been 4 rooms as one house. Being 2bdrms, 2 bthrms, living-room and kitchen/dinning room. So, this is to give those of you who are wondering what you will need to build a modest, traditional style Africa home with a modern twist, here you are. This can actually be built in 4 months or less if you are prepared. Its cheaper to produce your own blocks rather than buy them. Its also cheaper to build your own (if you got the patience, rather than a big contractor). You can create your own plan if you like. You can also save space by having a stove top rather than an oven unless you like to bake. I made my platform beds out of 1inch plywood, 2x4s and African cloth. When Im tired of that cloth and I will get tire of it, Ill just change it! Im thinking about having some carved headboards made too.
