REPENT- be BAPTIZED and follow HIS COMMANDMENTS. This morning I was moved by the HOLY SPIRIT to read the Gospel of Mark. His Gospel was the first to be written. It only took about 2 hours to read it and as Ive said to many its important to read a Gospel in one setting. When we read any one of the Gospels in one setting we tend to see it better than if we read only a few scriptures at a time. With this in mind I want to remind you WHAT JESUS SAID, after HIS RESURRECTION so you will know as the Christ this is what JESUS SAID to HIS DISCIPLES. Mark 16: 15-19 - And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who BELIEVES and is BAPTIZED will be SAVED; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.- (capitalization is mine for added focus) Many will tell you we dont need to be baptized and even try to give you reasons why, quoting Paul or one passage in LUKE. JUST KEEP IN MIND, we are instructed to follow WHAT JESUS SAID above ALL others and this includes Peter, James, John and PAUL. In Matthews Gospel (second one written), AFTER THE RESURRECTION- JESUS SAID- All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to OBSERVE all things that I have COMMANDED you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:18-20 (capitalization is mine for added focus) AS CHRISTIANS our first responsibility is to be lovingly obedient to follow WHAT JESUS SAID and to do GODS WILL by faith and without excuse. If youre a troubled, confused or worried Christian, then I encourage you to begin doing WHAT JESUS SAID and less of what other people have told you. No one speaks or teaches as JESUS did and no one says their words come from GOD as JESUS SAID. Not even Peter, James, John, Paul or the pastors, ministers or evangelists. Their words are inspired thats different! May HIS PEACE be with you whereve you go, forevermore amen
