REPORT #1 Alas, Alas, the time is short.... is what Abdul-Baha cautioned us with... but for some like myself, it took 70+ years to understand the significance of this statement while the likes of Vargha, Badii, Quddus, Muhajir, Martha Root, and others understood the depth of the meaning of this message when they were 12, 16, 19, 25, or a little older. It took decades until I truly understood the meaning of associate with people of all Faiths in a spirit of amity and concord, and another couple of decades until I understood how He could naturally and lovingly enter mosques, synagogues, churches, and other houses of worship and reinforce their love for God and for humanity at large as well as explaining, as lovingly and patiently as possible, the concept of progressive revelation and the common foundation of all religions. So in 2014, I walked on this path more firmly than ever before; going to many churches, synagogues, and interfaith gatherings... and received the blessings of invitations (sometimes with some prodding) to speak about the Faith or give them gifts for gratitude (you see one below) twelve times in five places of worship or interfaith gatherings. I promise for 2015 (although my days on this earth are numbered) to redouble my efforts. I will visit 24 houses of worship this year to proclaim the message of Bahaullah and offer myself to be used in any way possible on this path.... and here is my partial report for January: a) The five-session class on the basic of Bahai Faith is continuing at the Unity church with some 20+ seekers attending enthusiastically. b) I attended Episcopal church during the first week of the month (with an invitation to speak at their church in March), a mosque during the second week (with a dialogue on the meaning of faith), and the Baptist church today which occurred after I read Abdul-Bahas prayer on Humanity at our Yoga class last week; two ladies came to me and asked if I believe in Jesus as Son of God. I said, of course, but we are also children of the same God. They, thus, invited me to their church (Baptist). I will cover the rest in a separate post tomorrow. I will visit a Methodist church next week. I will also participate in the interfaith initiative for children of all Faiths next week. Ps/I am not writing these lines to brag (God forbid) on what I have done, but merely to say, Alas... Alas the time is short; beshetabid, beshetabid, ke vaght tang ast va ahange motreb nazdik be enteha... particularly after what we saw in New York, Frankfurt, Spain, London, Paris, etc. let alone the atrocities from Afghanistan.....Syria... all the way to Nigeria. https://youtube/watch?v=kJhfWQ7q2lo
