REPORT OF THE 3RD DAY (15TH AUGUST, 2014) OF THE 13TH EAGLES’ CONVENTION OF YOUTH AFLAME FELLOWSHIP (INTER-DENOMINATIONAL) THEME: VESSELS UNTO HONOUR HELD AT WILLIAMS MEMORIAL SECONDARY SCHOOL AFUGIRI, UMUAHIA ABIA STATE DATE: 13TH-16TH AUGUST, 2014. FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST, 2014 It was the third day of the Convention and it was declared fasting for the family. The activities of the kicked at about 5:00 am with-“Alone with God”, delegate’s personal time with God. This was concluded at 5:30 am and all moved to the chapel for the family devotion (Faith clinic). Faith Clinic Prayers were said to God as led by Evang. Iyke Ufomadu appreciating God for having being with us since we started and for God’s leading in the day activities. The Convention Choral Director Psalmist Oge Nwankwo led in uplifting praise/worship and it was rapped with hymn- 14“Rock Ages” and Rev. Dr C.C. Simeon was ushered in and he ministered on the topic-“I cannot come down”. His foundational scripture was taken from Nehemiah 6:1-5 from where he established that there are circumstances that tried to force Nehemiah to compromise to his faith. He related it to today challenges but admonish delegates to remain firm to God. He charged delegates to be careful of the following persons; i. People who will get angry of the news of your success. ii. People who laugh and despise you even when they know you are doing the right thing. iii. People who belittle you even when they know you have a vision. And iv. People who fabricate lies and rumors about you. In his words “any temptation you are facing is a call for you to overcome”. He added that it aim is to distract you. On this charged atmosphere the man of God made prophetic utterances against whatever that intends to let us go down. Afterwards, Evang. Iyke Ufomadu led in hymn 16 “Sowers of Blessing” which brought the session to a close at 6:37am while delegates proceeded for clean up and Bathe. Bible Study II “Honourable Service” Delegates assembled at the Chapel at exactly 8am for study on the topic. As usual all delegates were grouped 1 to 10 and allotted with Bible Study teachers which granted effective study that lasted for about an hour. The text and Memory verse of the Study were I Cor. 9:24-27 and I Cor. 9:24 respectively. Wrapping up the study after an hour the Convener Ohakah Uche Ama-Ohakah anchored a session of questions and answer which further guided delegates how to give glory to God in different spheres of our lives. This Study truly refocused delegate’s hearts to the proper priorities by revealing to them features that is required; Humility-Phil. 2:5-8, Selflessness-Jn 3:30, Obedience-Jn 8;29, Reverence-Malachi 1:6-8, Steadfastness-Luke 9:62 Followership-Luke 9:23, Conformity to Standard among others as features of an Honourable Service. Hymn 9 “Ancient Word” was taken which brought the Bible Study to a conclusion at about 23 minutes to 11am. Prophetic Prayer Session It was an experience better witnessed. The session kicks start with charge by Pst Confidence Nwakudu. He text was taken from Ezekiel 16:1-4. He gave a revelation to delegates that sins of our father/ancestral course stands to inhibit one of his uprisings. He buttressed this with his life experience instances even on how the nativity of Jerusalem from the scripture above intended to stop them until it was conquered. On this charged atmosphere he led in prayer confronting spirits against our lives. Also, God’s Generals like Pst Ugochukwu Ezeh, Hezekiah Okeaba, Pst Collins etc equally led in prayers while varying issues confronting delegates were addressed. With these entire God’s generals and the Convener-Ohakah Uche Am-Ohakah held the prayer requests written by delegates declaring answers to it. Praise & Worship/ Special Presentation-Guest Artist It was session of great move of God. it featured Gospel ministers like Pst Ifeanyi Ibezim among others that participated in the meeting. It was at this medium that Prophecies of divine healing, blessings was released. Among other things God said “all Prayers made via the medium is answered” What an indelible experience in the hearts of delegates! Under this unction brethren were given room and they shared experiences had previously via such an atmosphere in 2013 Eagles Convention and respective lives due to contact with Aflame family. Testimonies shared include healing of cancer, stroke, salvation etc. “Vessels unto Honour” Bishop Humprey Erumaka His lordship gave an in-depth insight on the conference theme as stated above. The Scriptural anchor to his sermon was; Luke 5:1-11, Luke 4:37-41. He x-rayed the case of Peter in the scripture that toiled all day to catch fish but couldn’t until God intervened. He admonished delegates that their best is in Christ because He facilitates other things just as he did in the case of Peter and turned him to fisher of men.He encouraged all to note that anything that God cannot give entails that is not relevant to you. In concluding, many were led to Christ as touched through the word. This brought the session to a close at about 4.44pm and delegates went for breaking of the day fasting. Let’s Go A-Fishing At about 05:51pm delegates returned to the chapel and they were mobilized in two-by-two as coordinated by the Convener-Ohakah Uche Ama-Ohakah and all proceeded for Evangelism within the community. Returning back at about 7:10pm brethren shared their experience on the outreach. Indeed, it was heartwarming the responses. Many witnesses attest that many accepted they visited accepted Christ via the exercise. Thereafter, all brethren stood as directed by the Convener and made a prayer for those ministered unto via the Evangelism. Special Presentations It was a joyous segment in His presence following the Evangelism. Many delegates rendered special songs alongside Guest artist across the states that were in attendance ministered and delegates danced and celebrated Christ. What a fun being in God’s presence; Guest artists were celebrated to the glory of God. Our Brother Onyebuchi Onyekachi Nwosu who was empowered by Abia State Government on Photography/Video Coverage presented the equipment and he was prayed for. He was used as point of reference in reaching out to other brethren who are waiting for their settlement in various strata of life. The Government was also prayed for regarding this laudable effort and as well to be led more by God. Testimonies upon testimonies flowed. Brethren testified of the Lord goodness upon their life in the previous years and in the year under review. Testimonies include Job, divine breakthrough etc. “Varieties/Holy Ghost Night”-Pst. James Okeaba The proceedings above ushered in this with hymn 16 “Showers of Blessing” and the preacher was ushered in having cut the cake presented to him by Aflame Family in respect to his birthday. He cut the birthday cake alongside August babies in the house. He gave revelational teaching on the recent scourge of Ebola Virus and the misinformation with it. He revealed to the delegates that the word of God as read from 1 Peter 4:1 is a guide in the present situation. Advocates for delegates to desire more of God’s presence in order to know the mind of God and be protected against it. He added that mind also serve as a strong tool in adverting this. According to him mind is strong ammunition. He expressed widely on why every child of God needs to run with a positive mindset. He called on those who are yet to identify with God to quickly do that so as to stand a better chance of being shield from whatever arrow of the enemy even in the face of the recent developments which many turned a new leave via then. There were prophecies of correction of reproductive system, higher supernatural power etc upon delegates. These and others proved His divine presence this night. Conclusion of the day activities The Friday activities was concluded at about 12:03am Saturday 16th August under joyous atmosphere with smiles on delegates faces for having dined with God as we gathered. -------EKEKWE I.
