REPORT OF THE BAR ASSOCIATION ABOUT VISIT OF THE DHARAM GOOL FIRING INCIDENT CONDUCTED ON 28TH OF JULY 2013. Srinagar, July 30: After the reports of horrible incident of indiscriminate firing on protesting civilians from BSF camp Dharam, Gool in Ramban, a Team of lawyers from the High Court Bar Association was able to pay a visit to the area on 28th July 2013. The team member constituted of Vice President Ad Aijaz Bedar, Ad Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Gen. Secy, Ad Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Jt. Secretary, Ad Bilal Ahmad Wani, Treasurer accompanied by Executive member Ad Arshad Andrabi. In village Dharam [locally pronounced as Dhadam] ‘A Coy 76Bn BSF’ has maintained a camp on a hilltop in newly constructed building complex. The camp is fenced on all sides and there are bunkers on all sides containing armed personal keeping vigil on the area. It is just near the entrance the outside this camp, the incident of massacre and mass killing has taken place. After visiting the location, it was found that the BSF Battalion been has been shifted to Ramban. A sense of pain and horror prevails on the faces of the inhabitants who have been living a peaceful life till the date of incident. Before reaching camp, about 500 meters away on the other side of the valley on the roadside, there is a small dilapidated two room building on a which a sign board in faded letter reads “Madrasa Jamia Nooria”. It is reported that around 40 local kids come to the Madrasa in the morning to learn basic Quran reading and pronunciation. Yassarnal Quran, Noorani Qaeda and 30th part of Quran is taught for beginners. The premises is completely open as there is no compound wall and madrasa is located on the roadside. The madrasa is run by Qari Shabir Ahmad and his brother Abdul Latif is entrusted with the responsibility as a ‘care taker’. They live in an adjacent house.
