REPORT ON TDT GRANT: FOOD PREPARATION WORKSHOP VETA: MTWARA The grant allocated to the FP workshop was used mostly on small equipment that was simply not there before. It also gave us the opportunity to produce many health and safety signs to display in the kitchens and also to create and deliver a power point presentation on Health, Safety and Hygiene in the kitchen. We were able to buy pots, pans, woks, whisks scales measuring jugs and a whole assortment of cooking utensils of good quality which means that they will be lasting a long time. This gave us the opportunity to enhance the training and development of the students by five folds. It allows us to follow Health and Safety regulations. This grant was the icing on the top of the cake as it will complement the new training kitchen that will be in full action in about a month from now.
