REPUBLICA KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Ncell has provided Rs 200 million flood and landslide victims in different parts of the country. As part of its corporate social responsibility, Ncell on Friday handed over a check for Rs 200 million to Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to provide relief to the victims and rehabilitate needy people in the disaster hit areas, Ncell said in a statement. Ncell CEO Erim Taylanlar handed over the check to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Friday “We have been deeply concerned at the loss of lives and infrastructures across the country due to flood, landslide and other natural disasters in various parts of the country. We hope this contribution from our side will help the government to expedite the rescue and relief works in the affected areas,” Taylanlar said while handing over the support, according to the statement. A couple of weeks ago Ncell had provided one million rupee for the people affected by landslide in Sindhupalchowk district. The support to disaster-hit people was provided through District Natural Disaster Relief Committee, Sindhupalchowk, headed by the Chief District Officer.” “Now that the news of such natural disaster have poured in from different other parts of the country, we have contributed additional Rs 200 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to reach out to the needy people,” Sanju Koirala, corporate communication director of Ncell, said in the statement.
