REQUIME MASS FOR LATE GITARI By Viviane Kyenze The requiem mass for the late Archbishop Dr. David Mukuba Gitari was yesterday held at the All Saints Cathedral church in Nairobi. Top leaders from the Anglican Church of Kenya including Archbishop Elliud Wabukala, were among friends and relatives who graced the solemn occasion to give the former leader of the church a heroic send off. The late Gitari who was a fearless critic of injustices by authorities died at the age of 76 at Mater Hospital in Nairobi on 30th last month while undergoing treatment. Archbishop Wabukala described the late Gitari as a servant of God who always promoted unity and condemned the repressive ways of the government including land grabbing.
