That means that all of Joe Straus PR efforts are aimed at whitewashing the civil war that is going on in the Republican Party. This is not about Joe Straus and his minions vs. the Liberty Movement and Tea Party, this is about Joe Straus and his minions vs. the main of the Republican Party of Texas! Thats why they are so worried and working overtime to convince the gullible that there is no race and that Straus has all the numbers. He may have the politicians in Austin licking his hand, but the Republican base of Texas is having NONE of it! They want Straus gone, and any Republican representative that defies the will of The People will face the inevitable demise of his political career. That is guaranteed. Wallace Hall, UT Regent, has revealed that Straus offered a secret deal to Governor Perry to make all the UT pressure go away if only he would fire Hall. Straus is also quoted as snidely declaring that he doesnt care if Wallace Hall swings from a tree. Hows that for cordial tone? Welcome to Straus version of charm and character and statesmanship. How about that free market in Texas? Did you know that the legislature is regulating the craft beers market to the point of destruction? Unintended consequences, and all that, of their misguided and flagrant cronyism.
