RESEAL PREPARATION – FALMOUTH STREET, SOMERSET Council staff will be undertaking preparation for reseal works in Falmouth Street, Somerset on Wednesday. This work will require the closure of a section of Falmouth Street, between Simpson Street and Wragg Street between 6:30am and 5:00pm, weather permitting. The closure will primarily apply to through traffic. Local traffic will be allowed access to facilities such as car parking. Southbound traffic on Falmouth Street will need to detour via Simpson Street and northbound traffic heading towards the Bass Highway will need to detour via Wragg Street. A notice was also placed in Saturday’s The Advocate to inform the general public of the traffic disruption. Council regrets any inconvenience this may cause, however it is necessary in order to ensure the safety of both workers and road users whilst the works are being performed.
